Business
Process Re-engineering was seen in the 1990s as an attempt
to automate processes by using IT. In some cases,
productivity and efficiency improved. But also, companies
just automated their processes rather than take time to plan
what they want to achieve. Business Process Management (BPM)
is a more optimized solution that promises to correct this
problem and support productivity. Research companies now see
a growing market for BPM solutions. The evident group says
the BPM market will grow annually by 20% to 40% in 2005.
Gartner said by this period, 90% of large companies will
have BPM in their enterprise systems.
As the
present economic situation is quite bad, companies should
get into automation so that they can accurately review the
processes with the specific and reliable cost data and facts
generated by BPM. BPM would help increase office
productivity by shortening the cyclic time by 30% within the
priceess that had been implemented |
